The PayPal Website Payments Pro component has been updated to add 3-D Secure/Verified by Visa authentication, which will be mandatory for MasterCard, Maestro and Solo payments from January 2010

Update Details

The deadline of 1 January 2010 for 3-D Secure for MasterCard/Maestro payments has been extended to 21 January 2010.

This upgrade is available now for Joomla 1.5/VirtueMart 1.1.x, and will be available for Joomla 1.0/VirtueMart 1.0.x in early January.

Currently the component can be used with API signature details, and we are working on a version which uses PayFlow details. In the meantime if you use PayFlow details, you can use this upgraded component now by creating a set of API signature details via your standard PayPal control panel.

After manual upgrade, add your Cardinal 3-D account details (Merchant Id, Processor Id and Transaction Password) in the payment method configuration. You also need to create a database table, by running the SQL in the installation SQL file: 'install.paypalprous.sql'.
